Tends machine that cuts defects from veneer sheets and repairs
defects by inserting ptaches in cutout areas: Fills feed chute
of machine with veneer patch stock and starts machine. Slides
and positions veneer sheet on machine table so that defects,
such as knots, holes, and pitch pockets are under head of
mahcine. Depresses pedal to activate head that cuts or punches
out defective area and inserts patch. Stcaks repaired sheets on
skids or slides them onto conveyor. May grade repaired sheets.
May be designated according to mcahine operated as
Raimann-Machine Operator (millwork-plywood); Skoog-Machine
Operator (millwork-plywood).
